Solution family

Free the working capital trapped between your systems.

DuluthPath detects where cash is sitting idle — unapplied payments, duplicate payables, aged receivables, slow-moving inventory, missed early-pay discounts, cash-forecast variance — then explains why and coordinates the appropriate release action.

Organizational problem

Working capital is tied up in the handoff between subledgers. AR cash is unapplied because the remittance doesn't match an open invoice. AP overpays because the duplicate PO was raised on a different company code. Inventory accumulates because sell-through decelerated three weeks ago but the replenishment logic hasn't learned. The CFO sees the trapped cash only at month-end.

Why existing systems miss it

Cash lives inside the subledger that moves it. The treasury dashboard shows the balance. The AR subledger shows the aging bucket. The AP subledger shows the open PO. None of them show the delta between the three systems — the dollars that could be freed if the subledgers reconciled against each other continuously.

Signals DuluthPath analyzes

  • Unapplied cash in AR with a payment remittance that matches an open invoice by amount within a configurable tolerance.
  • Duplicate payable candidates across company codes / entities (vendor + amount + date proximity).
  • DSO trending upward for a specific customer cohort against baseline.
  • Inventory with sell-through decelerating week-over-week for N consecutive weeks.
  • Vendor invoices eligible for an early-pay discount with the discount window closing in <72 hours.
  • Cash-forecast variance exceeding the configured materiality for the next 30-day window.

How DuluthPath detects the issue

DuluthPath continuously reconciles the AR subledger against the AP subledger against the GL against the cash forecast. Candidate matches use configurable tolerance thresholds (amount, date proximity, vendor name similarity) that the treasury team controls. Nothing is proposed to the Decision Queue unless two independent evidence sources agree.

Root-cause analysis

For each cash-trapping problem the Orchestrator identifies the system of origin (where the record was created), the system of truth (where the authoritative version should live), the misalignment type (data, timing, policy, controls), and the most-likely remediation path with a confidence score.

Financial, customer, operational and compliance impact

financial impact

DSO reduction, DPO optimization, inventory-carry cost reduction, early-pay discount capture.

customer impact

Fewer collection calls on invoices where cash already arrived.

operational impact

Cleaner close, fewer manual reconciliation hours per month.

compliance impact

Hash-chained evidence for every cash movement proposed and approved.

Recommended actions

  • Treasury-approved cash application against the matched invoice.
  • AP duplicate-payment hold with escalation to the shared-services lead.
  • Collection outreach prioritized by combined DSO and account churn risk.
  • Inventory liquidation sequence proposed with margin-protection floors.

Approval and execution controls

All write-backs are approved by the role you designate (Treasurer / AP Manager / Collections Lead). Materiality thresholds, approver roles, and rollback plans are configured per action class — the configuration is itself hash-chained to the audit log.

Outcome verification

Cash released versus expected is measured within 24 hours of each applied action. If an application does not land in the GL as expected, the problem is re-opened with the new evidence.
